We strive to strengthen families by relieving some of the stress and teaching positive, forgiving ways to connect with the world around them
Our program guides children to explore the many colors, textures, and wonderful beauty the world has to offer them.
The name Nation of Seeds was chosen because we believe our program can help build stronger families by nourishing their young seedlings and the whole family. In turn, stronger families help build a stronger nation.
The driving goal of this company is to assist the next generation in growing up with strong roots. Unlike many other large childcare facilities, we will go the extra mile to nurture the ground families grow upon, by strengthening their homes and relationships within the community.
Over the years, we have watched parents struggle to balance loyalty to their jobs and loyalty to their families. Most of us desire to grow both as parents and in our chosen careers while providing financially for our families’ current and future dreams.
What is that dream? A place of comfort and safety, a place where education and learning happen, a place where happiness and joy are found, a place of faith and love, a place of financial security, a place called “home”. Oftentimes, striving for all of these becomes a stone too large for parents to carry for very long; many times, they end up sacrificing one for the other.
It is Nation of Seeds’ desire to help parents and caregivers carry that stone. To assist in keeping the family’s foundation strong, to assist in keeping their current and future dreams from eroding, and to keep them from feeling like they have to choose between being either a good parent or a good employee. We know that with our help, they can do both, but it means providing more than traditional childcare.
OUR PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
This will be a place where children learn how to communicate with love in their family, when talking to their friends, while working in their community, and by being emotionally intelligent for their futures. Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the “ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions and the emotions of others in positive ways.”
We desire to be a place that teaches these principles by giving children the tools to overcome challenges and mitigate drama in their own lives. People with high EI are stronger, more empathetic, better self-reliant, and recognize when the people around them need help. Our childcare center will help children learn this model by absorbing how young seedlings grow in the garden and what they need to thrive. Each child will have a garden plot and will be able to grow something. In addition, all children will be taught tools that will prepare them for elementary school through the use of STEAM activities, which include zoo/aquarium science, animal husbandry, special first responder guests, and apprentice/trade education.
Each staff member will cultivate a place of NO DRAMA so our little plants can grow tall without fear of doing something wrong. Respect and a gentle tone will be requested from all staff, parents, children, vendors, suppliers, and others who come in contact with our little learners.
Many times, tension arises because people/parents (and little ones) just get overloaded and tired. As leaders, we intend to be “stone catchers” for those who have too much on their plates.
We believe that when we give the child’s caregiver a break, they will become better/happier people in each child’s life.
We believe we can assist in creating homes and not just houses where children live.
As a business, we strive to be the water and nutrients with which young gardens/families can flourish.
We believe all people endeavor to have homes that are places of happiness, joy, faith, love, education, learning, and peace.
